Though we’re wrapped up to stay as warm as we can be right now, higher temps are just around the corner. Dressing while the seasons are changing is based on core pieces that can layer and still stand on their own. Here are our suggestions on what to put on as the birds fly north.
MID LENGTH SKIRT
A below-the-knee skirt can be layered with boots and a long jacket during the coldest months. Take the jacket off for a cool-weather spring look, and pair the skirt with a knit tank and slides for warmer climates.
A knit midi dress can layer over a sweater in a neutral color, and pants with a contrasting pattern. Throw on a warm coat and some boots for maximum cold protection or take the sweater and the pants off for a warm-weather get-up.
Layer a semi-formal slip dress over a sheer blouse and mid-calf boots for a sophisticated outfit; add a trench coat for extra warmth or take the blouse off for an elegant spring look.
