What goes around comes around; what's old is new again. This month, we're retreating to a time before Tr*mp, before smartphones, before high-rise jeans were back (again): the early '00s. Across social norms, politics, and technology, the infancy of the new millennium tolerated a lot of change, challenge, and transition — which is why it resonates so clearly today. We love the post-Y2K era for its rebellious, almost purposefully-offensive personal style; strong assertions of the self when so much feels so uncertain. While the campy epoch can keep its tanning beds and whale tail, we're very down to revive select styles of the time.
